festival dates and times

Sun. Aug. 18 12:00pm - 8:00pm
Tickets are available for purchase online here. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the gate, however, as a general rule, at the event prices are higher, so we encourage you to get your tickets sooner rather than later. Not only will you save money, but you'll save time by not having to wait in line at the box office before proceeding to the gate.
Several hotels offer special discounts and rate packages for attendees of the 2019 Ann Arbor Blues Festival. These low prices are only valid for a limited time, though, and with thousands of people expected to attend the Festival this summer, be sure to make your reservations early. Visit the Lodging page on our website for more information.
FOOD AND DRINK
This is a festival - of course there'll be food and drink! Our food and beverage vendors work hard to bring you a variety of delicious options to satisfy both your appetite and your budget. Without their support, it wouldn't be possible to have a festival in the first place. Please show them your appreciation by patronizing their booths and carts and not bringing your own food, drink, coolers, or picnic baskets onto the festival grounds.
Most of the Festival tickets are general admission. General admission ticket holders receive lawn seating privileges. No chairs are provided on the lawn, but general admission ticket holders may bring a lawn chair or blanket and may also take in a reasonably-sized personal umbrella (no picnic or beach umbrellas, please) to shield from rain or excessive sunshine (is there such a thing?).
There are a limited number of VIP tickets available. These premium packages include a separate VIP entrance and parking area, air-conditioned luxury restrooms, reserved seating area with chairs close to the stage, access to the VIP tent, complimentary happy hour refreshments, including catered hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, soft drinks, water, and one adult beverage per person of legal drinking age (21+), unique festival swag, and more. Meet and greet opportunities with select performers are also included.
ENTRY & SECURITY
Everyone entering the festival fairgrounds may be subject to search of their persons or property. Inappropriate items may be confiscated and individuals may be denied entry or re-entry in the discretion of event staff.
Alcoholic beverages may only be consumed by individuals of legal drinking age and in designated areas. Only alcoholic beverages purchased on-site are permitted.
While we always hope for sunshine, inclement weather is always a possibility. The Ann Arbor Blues Festival is an outdoor event and will go on "rain or shine" unless there are severe weather warnings and/or the threat of lightning in the area. We will have a number of tents set up in both the general admission and VIP areas but, as a general rule, neither the lawn nor the VIP area are protected from the elements. Please be prepared.
PETS AND ANIMALS
We love animals and treasure our furry friend but out of courtesy for the health and well-being of others, no pets or animals will be allowed, with the exception of documented service animals.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide Wi-Fi at the Fairgrounds.
Please leave all weapons at home. No guns, knives, or weapons of any kind will be permitted on the Festival grounds.
